ICE agent Liam Brophy was one of the ICE agents responsible for the abduction of a 29-year-old El Salvadorian man at Chelsea District Court on February 9th, 2026. The El Salvadorian man was at court for an OUI charge, and had been released after his arraignment. ICE agent Liam Brophy arrested the man in front of his wife and 4-month-old daughter. According to reporter Irene Rotondo, while interviewing the man’s wife:
“Though a U.S. citizen who said she and her husband were married in 2023, the young mother asked to remain anonymous for fear of retribution by ICE.”
““Eventually, one just came up to me, came up to my husband, and started grabbing him, and they took him. They were touching me … They didn’t show a warrant. They just said they had to take him because he’s an immigrant,” she said.”
“Asked what she was going to do next, the young mother wailed.”
““I don’t know. It’s just me and him and the kids … he works, he provides. I’m scared for what might happen to him. I’m scared he won’t come back,” she cried.”
On April 22nd, 2026, ICE agent Liam Brophy was also one of the ICE agents who abducted a middle-aged man in Worcester MA, and accosted the local community for recording immigration agents. The video features him repeatedly pulling his mask up over his nose as he screams the following at observing civilians: “Do not move forward. Do you understand? One more time, that’s it. I’m giving you a lawful order. Do not move from that spot. Do not come closer. Do you understand me, yes or no?”
ICE agent Liam Brophy shares a surname and reported place of residence with Rose Brophy, who serves as the CBP Director of Field Operations for the Buffalo NY DHS field office. Data brokers suggest that Liam Brophy is either Rose Brophy’s son or stepson. His status as a potential nepotism hire is not known.
